Volvo Group is hiring a Graduate Apprentice Trainee under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) to join its Trucks Technology & Industrial division in Bangalore. Positioned directly within the core manufacturing assembly matrix, this highly technical trainee role bridges embedded software development and industrial production testing operations. You will be responsible for the production preparation, execution, and verification of automated test programs and electronic software diagnostics scripts run along the vehicle assembly line. Working alongside senior electronics specialists, your mission is to ensure that all embedded vehicle control systems and programmable hardware components are perfectly calibrated, achieving complete zero-defect readiness before the vehicles transition into final mass production.

Requirements:

  • A freshly completed Bachelor’s degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), or Computer Science Engineering (CSE).
  • Must fulfill all legal and academic criteria mandated by the Government of India for the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (candidates who have already completed an apprentice tenure elsewhere or have more than a year of industrial experience are generally ineligible).
  • Strong conceptual grounding or academic project exposure to vehicle technology, automotive electronic layouts, and automated diagnostic architectures.
  • Foundational awareness of hardware network communication channels and standard vehicle signaling pipelines (such as Controller Area Network [CAN] or Local Interconnect Network [LIN] setups).
  • High-level logical mindset to run diagnostic testing sequences, isolate component faults, evaluate runtime log rows, and maintain an uncompromising attention to precision assembly details.
  • High learning agility to grasp modern decentralized industrial workflows, implement process improvements, and demonstrate personal initiative under structured factory guidance.
  • Solid verbal and written English communication skills, allowing you to interface comfortably across multi-cultural groups of assembly managers, quality assurance specialists, and design engineers.
